Cycles can be hired by the hour. Cycling can be done around the lake, within the grounds or outside the Resort. Mountain bikes are also available for the adventurous who would like to cycle to Bhimtal and other surrounding areas.
Keen anglers can find many quiet spots for some relaxed fishing. If you want to try your hand at fishing, then the silent Naukuchiatal Lake is the best option for you. However, before indulging in this activity, you are required to secure permission from the local authorities. Once done, you may head towards the lake for fishing. The lake has Mahaseer, Rohu and carp.Fishing rods are available on-site at the lake.

A walk on the trail by the lake offers an experience of nature in full glory where orchids and ferns along with other flora can be found in abundance.The Resort’s environs have many interesting paths with varying gradients to suit every enthusiast’s needs. Apart from the “Orchid Trails” there is “Paradise Run” for jogging or a simple walk and “Gadde Climb” and “Jandi Dhaar Climb” for keen trekkers. Naukuchiatal also offers umpteen opportunities to trek through jungles and orchards. Starting from the lake, different treks can be organised to Jandhidhar and Jungliagaon, which are approximately 8 kms from Naukuchiatal. These treks also provide a chance to learn about the abundant flora & fauna of Kumaon.
Indulge yourself with a ride on the lake in a paddle or rowing boat. Watch the sunset or sunrise from the boat as this facility is available from dawn till dusk. Pickups are from the resort deck.
Naukuchiatal at an altitude of 1,220 metres above the sea level, is situated in the Lower Himalayan Range of Nainital District. These freshwater lakes are home to more than 500 migratory and resident birds. These birds escape the cold of the upper Himalayan region by migrating to the lower Himalayas. Different species of birds from the family of barbets, woodpeckers, pheasants, kingfisher, parakeets, owls and many more can be spotted in this area.
